Overview
Derived from purple dyed with safflower and indigo
Story

Since purple root dyeing was expensive, and purple navy dyeing was prohibited in the Edo period, a dyeing method that dyed purple without using purple root was considered.

The slightly dull purple color created by dyeing with safflower flowers and layering indigo is called two indigo.
